Celebrate and Support Independence!
As we celebrate our nation’s Independence Day, we reflect on what it means to be independent.
- Making choices in our lives.
- Living in a home that is our own.
- Opportunities to learn, grow, and achieve personal goals.
- Working and volunteering in ways that are meaningful to us.
- Choosing our daily activities and being a member of our larger community.
Many of these freedoms are ones we don’t think about on a daily basis and may even take for granted. But, much like our nation, we didn’t gain independence on our own.
At The Larrabee Center, we are truly committed to a mission that fosters this independence for individuals with disabilities and seek to create a community where everyone is valued. But we can’t do it alone. We are just one piece of the puzzle. We need YOU – our friends, neighbors, coworkers, and community members to be part of our mission. Together, we can support individuals with disabilities in reaching their personal goals of independence and inclusion in our communities!
