The warm line is a peer run, telephone based, non-crisis, confidential, listening line for anyone struggling with mental health or substance abuse issues. The Warm Line is staffed by people who have been through a similar journey and are in recovery themselves.

Mental Health & Disability Services
The East Central Region (ECR) is a partnership between 9 counties to provide better mental health and disability services to individuals in eastern Iowa. The region serves the counties of Benton, Bremer, Buchanan, Delaware, Dubuque, Iowa, Johnson, Jones and Linn.
County Social Services provides financial support for mental health and disability services programs to individuals in North Central and Northeastern Iowa. The CSS Region serves the counties of Allamakee, Black Hawk, Butler, Cerro Gordo, Clayton, Chickasaw, Emmet, Fayette, Floyd, Grundy, Hancock, Howard, Humboldt, Mitchell, Pocahontas, Tama, Webster, Winnebago, Worth, Winneshiek, & Wright Counties.
Northeast Iowa Community Action
Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation (NEICAC) serves low-income individuals and families in the counties of: Allamakee, Bremer, Chickasaw, Clayton, Fayette, Howard and Winneshiek in northeast Iowa.
NEICAC operates a large variety of programs through its seven county service area. Some, but not all, of these programs are: Early Childhood Education (Head Start & Early Head Start), Housing, Family Services, EARL Public Transit, and Energy Assistance.
North Iowa Community Action Organization
North Iowa Community Action Organization serves Butler, Cerro Gordo, Floyd, Franklin, Hancock, Kossuth, Mitchell, Winnebago, and Worth in northern Iowa.
Iowa Northland Regional Housing Authority
Iowa Northland Regional Housing Authority provides housing assistance to low income residents through the management of the Housing Choice Voucher Program – Section 8. This program is income based and the eligibility guidelines are set by HUD.
Waverly-Shell Rock Area United Way
The Waverly-Shell Rock Area United Way improves lives and strengthens the education, income & health of our communities by securing funds and promoting services for those in need Serves Bremer and Eastern Butler County.
Regional Transit (RTC)
The Iowa Northland Regional Transit Commission (RTC) provides transit services within the INRCOG region. All services are open to the general public, including persons with disabilities. In addition to providing transit, RTC is responsible for coordinating transportation in the region.
Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT)
Iowa Medicaid members and clients with Medicaid Waiver benefits may qualify for non-emergency medical and/or Waiver-approved transportation for non-emergency medical appointments.

Iowa Works Center
Serving Black Hawk, Bremer, Buchanan, Butler and Grundy counties. IowaWORKS Centers located throughout the state provide services for individuals and businesses such as career exploration, labor market information, and job fairs.
Autism Society of Iowa
Provides advocacy, support and information to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, their families, professionals, and communities throughout the state of Iowa.
Iowa Developmental Disabilities (DD) Council
Creating change with and for persons with developmental disabilities so they can live, work, learn and play in the community of their choosing.
NAMI – Black Hawk County
NAMI Black Hawk County is a local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. (also serving Bremer County) NAMI is a grassroots, self-help organization promoting advocacy, education, and mutual support. It is dedicated to improving the lives of people who have mental illness, their families, partners, caregivers, and friends.
